So, some of you may have noticed a distinct lack of cake pictures recently, and that has nothing to do with less being made. It's nonstop cake making almost everyday of the week! And there have been some real beauties in there too. I made a book cake at work the other day with a piped icing quill and everything... but alas... I do not have a camera anymore.

So I am on a quest to buy a camera and I am looking for recommendations. I need something that will do good close up shots (you may have noticed the blurriness of some of my posts if I tried to go too close) and also shoots well with indoor lighting since most of my pictures are taken at work and I don't have time to arrange the cake in the best possible light.

Canon has been suggested to me as a name brand, but I figure to doesn't hurt to see if anyone else has any suggestions. I am looking in the $300 or less range hopefully, since I also need to buy winter tires this fall.

Edit: So, not even an hour after I originally posted this, I meet up with my mom and she hands me a new camera! It's a Fujifilm A180. Not a bad little camera and suits my needs for now, but I would still like suggestions for a higher quality camera.

So I'm currently in Toronto, which is awesome. We arrived at five am this morning and now we are watching the Price is Right in the one hotel room they had while we wait for the others to become available. I'm am so looking forward to Anime North this weekend. I'll post the pictures I draw with my new markers when I get back next week. I'm off to enjoy my vacation.

So I don't update this very often, but I feel like doing so tonight. I've been back into a drawing faze recently, but I seem to have lost my markers. I scoured the entire house, but they have disappeared. So I finally decided to buy new ones. I'm going to Toronto next week for my vacation and I'll pick up some new ones when I'm down there. I can't wait to leave.

While I'm down there, I'm also going to hit Anime North. There are a bunch of us going down from here this year. I think at the last count, there were fifteen people. We are taking two cars and the rest will fly down and meet us there. We leave next Monday. Eight more days. I am terribly impatient at this point. So you will probably see some more line art from me in the next few days and when I get back, I finally be able to color them all.

Well, I'm off to clean the house and possibly draw more. Toodles. ^_^
